Miniature Road Steam

Offered for sale is a well-built 4 ½” scale Foden C-Type with a traditional LWB body with sides. Very nicely presented all-round, this one was made by an experienced model engineer in around 2006. Although a non-commercial boiler, it has been made to a high standard and is accompanied by adequate documentation for service. It is a compound cylinder block operating at the higher pressure of 170PSI.

Key Features:

• Welded Steel Boiler, made non-commercially in 2006. It is well-made and accompanied by historical and recent boiler reports (a mix of club and commercial reports) as well as original material certification. Please speak to us about boiler testing options going forward.
• Working pressure 170 PSI.
• Three-speed, compound cylinder arrangement.
• Mechanical water pump and injector fitted for filling the boiler when in steam, as standard. 
• Mechanical lubricator, whistle, dummy displacement lubricator and pressure release valves.
• It is not currently registered for road use.
• Mechanically, the engine has been built to a high standard throughout. It has been maintained well and shows no significant signs of unattended wear.
• Cosmetically, the paintwork is striking in a blue livery with signwriting around the cab. It certainly suits the engine and has been applied to a high standard.
• The wheels are the cast type with solid rubber tyres. It is a very authentic looking miniature which manages to capture the charm of a larger machine.

Overall, a nicely presented lorry which has been built to a high standard and is ready to enjoy!
