Offered for sale is a pleasant and honest 3″ scale Burrell built to the ever-popular drawings by HR Plastow. Built in c. 2007 using a commercially made boiler from Devon Steam Boilers. Included is a good folder of paperwork and drawings linked to the engine from over the years.
Key Features:
- Copper boiler commercially made by Devon Steam Boilers. Included in this sale is a fresh, commercial boiler inspection to bring boiler testing up to date for the buyer.
- Two-speed, single cylinder arrangement. Slide valve actuated by Stephenson’s linkage.
- Mechanical water pump and injector fitted for filling the boiler when in steam, as standard.
- Mechanical lubricator, steam whistle and locomotive type pressure release valves.
- Mechanically, the engine has been built to good standard. It stands well and looks smart. It has been maintained nicely meaning it runs as it should with no obvious play or bearing issues to note. Generally honest and nicely presented.
- Cosmetically, it is painted in a traditional albeit plain livery. It shines up nicely and looks the part.
- The wheels are fitted with original style metal strakes.
Overall, a great, entry-level miniature which will come inclusive of our standard warranty and fresh boiler testing.
